Actor Promises Marriage, Ditches Model After Five Year Live-In Relationship 

Bengaluru: A television actor was arrested for cheating an aspiring model. They had been in a live-in relationship for five years and the model had been promised marriage.

The accused Kiran Raj is a popular Kannada television actor who appears in Kinnari Television series. The 25-year-old met model Yasmeen Pathan in Mumbai during a photoshoot. The duo started dating and subsequently they were in a live-in relationship for five years. All hell broke lose when Yasmeen pressurized him for marriage and he started avoiding her.

Realising that she had been cheated, Yasmeen left forMumbai. However on March 24, Kiran called her up and asked her to come down to Bengaluru, to which Yasmeen agreed. But she was put under house arrest and was assaulted on her return.

Yasmneen managed to escape from Kiran’s clutches and fled to Mumbai. She approached the police who directed her to file a complaint in Bengaluru as the incident occurred there. Subsequently, she filed a case at the Rajarajeshwari Nagar police station in Bengaluru on Monday and the officials arrested Kiran on Tuesday. The cops are investigating the matter.
