Acid Thrown At Congress Leader, Knifed To Death

Chittoor: Unidentified assailants threw acid and then knifed a Congress leader to death near Kasturiba Model School in KCB Puram mandal on Saturday night.

The deceased Rajasekhara Reddy (42) was returning from a brick kiln at 10 pm, when the attackers waylaid him and threw acid. Before people in the vicinity could react to his screams, the attackers slashed his throat several times and made good their escape. He died before being shifted to the hospital.
