Wife Strangles Husband With Paramour’s Help

Hyderabad: A 25-year-old housewife killed her husband with the help of her paramour near Maheshwaram on Friday night. The incident came to light on Saturday after the victim's body was found in a sump.

The victim A.Srinivas (26), a farmer, was a native of Pulimamidi village, Maheswaram in Rangareddy district and was married to A. Geeta. She later developed an affair with M. Srinivas(25), a cable TV operator. The duo eloped to get married three months ago. Her husband brought her back and warned Srinivas to stay away. But, the lovers who were in contact hatched a plan to kill Srinivas. The duo waited at home and when her husband returned, they strangled him and later bludgeoned with a stone. The lovers then dumped the body in a sump near the residence.

Locals lodged a complaint with police after a foul smell started emanating from the sump. When the police opened it, they found the body and sent it for the post-mortem.

Police arrested the duo and sent them to remand.
