ACB raids Mahabubnagar's minority welfare department

Mahbubnagar: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials raided the minority welfare department in the Mahbubnagar district collectorate on Thursday amid allegations of several financial irregularities.

The ACB sleuths grilled the officials of the minority welfare office about the irregularities in the implementation of various government schemes.

The minority welfare office is responsible for the implementation of 'Kalyanalakshmi' scheme under which Rs. 51000 is given to the eligible beneficiaries on their daughter's wedding.
