Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday approached the High Court seeking quashing of the ACB court’s ruling in the Cash for Votes scam. He moved a Lunch Motion Petition.

It may be recalled that the ACB Court has ordered a re-investigation of Cash for Votes case, in which the TDP tried to buy out TRS nominated MLA during the Rajya Sabha elections. It also directed the ACB to submit a report of the investigation by September 29.

Reacting to Chandrababu’s quash petition, YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy said Chandrababu’s hurry is betraying his fear and anxiety. “His going to the court even after the ACB Court has said the case was maintainable, betrays his anxiety.

It is an open secret as to how Naidu is sending his acolytes to everyone, including Governor, to wriggle out of the case. He said several luminaries like Jayalalithaa were booked under the Section 156 (3) of the CRPC and Chandrababu too is facing the case under the same section,” Reddy said.

In another press meet at the YSRCP party office, senior leader and MLC Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said that by going to the High Court, Chandrababu has indirectly admitted his guilt.
