60,000 Lord Ganesh idols are likely to be immersed on Monday

Some thousands of Lord Ganesh idols are ready for immersion at Hussainsagar lake in Hyderabad on Monday.
GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar reviewed the arrangements made for the immersion of the idols on Monday morning.
Speaking on the occasion, Somesh Kumar said that they would ensure that all the idols of Lord Ganesh are immersed by 8 am on Tuesday.
“All the fragments of the idols, which are immersed in Hussainsagar lake, are removed periodically. We are expecting that about 60,000 idols are immersed in the lake in Monday,” said the commissioner.
On the other hand, all the immersion arrangements were completed in Old City in Hyderabad. Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy reviewed the arrangements on Monday morning.
“Arrangements have been completed for the completion of the immersion in a peaceful manner. Tight security arrangements were made for the event,” said the minister.
