'Industrial corridor between Visakhapatnam,Chennai'

Union Minister of State for Commerce Nirmala Sitaraman announced that proposals were ready for setting up an industrial corridor between Visakhapatnam and Chennai.

“The chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are seeking some concessions,” said the minister.

She said that the BJP government has intensified its efforts to form the industrial corridors along the Bangalore-Chennai and Bangalore-Mumbai highways.

It may be recalled that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced in the recent budget that an industrial corridor would be formed between Visakhapatnam-Chennai.
