4 kg gold seized in Shamshabad Airport
Customs officials seized 4 kg Gold from 14 passenger arriving from Saudi Arabia at Shamshabad airport on Wednesday.
Police informed that the passenger, a native of Chattisgarh is arrested and is being questioned. This is 3rd attempt cracked by police in the past 4 months at RGIA (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport).
Police are constantly keeping all passengers under surveillance to avoid any sort of smuggling. This attempt is 10th in the year 2014 at Hyderabad. On October 29, the cops seized 3 Kg of Gold from a passenger coming from Dubai in Hyderbad.
Chennai and Kochi are also hotspots along with Hyderabad for gold smugglers.
