26 Mischievous Youths Arrested For Harassing Girls

Hyderabad: SHE teams of Cyberabad East Commissionerate arrested as many as 26 youngsters, most of them students, on charges of harassing girls in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Police said all the apprehended were counselled at the Commissionerate on Saturday. Briefing about their acts of harassment, police said, a 19-year-old engineering graduate Vasu was booked of harassing a girl by stealing her mobile phone, cash and blackmailing her for more money in exchange for the pictures on her mobile.

In another case, a 20-year-old daily wage earner P. Balakrishna was nabbed for going to a girl’s house and exposing himself in front of her. When the girl’s mother confronted him about what he had done, Balakrishna abused and assaulted them. Similarly, Md Nayeem, Md Tabroz, Sheikh Basheer and M. Uday were arrested while they were teasing girls at Navodaya colony in LB Nagar.

V. karthik, G. Venkata Chandrakanth and Avinash Ramesh were caught for harassing women in Vijaypuri Colony in Kothapet. Also two students at Government Girls High School in Kushaiguda, two bike-born students at Sri Chaitanya College at Kamala Nagar and a youth was arrested for teasing girls and threatening them of dire consequences.

All the 26 boys were caught red-handed in their mischievous acts, the police said.
