2 Youths Try To Steal Bank Customers Data Using 3D Scanner
Jubilee Hills: Two youths were arrested on Wednesday for trying to steal data by using a 3D scanner at Punjab National Bank ATM, Srinagar colony.
According to Banjara Hills police, Aditya Yandrapalli (24) and his accomplice Tella Staish (29) belonging to Vijayawada were staying at Begumpet in a rented flat. While Aditya completed BBA, the latter is a BTech graduate.
On Tuesday the two went to Punjab National Bank ATM located at Shalivahana Nagar RBI Quarters. One of the accused tried to extract ATM data using 3D technology scanner but they failed in their plan and fled the spot as the security guard found them doing some unusual activity instead of just drawing money.
Police official said that the modus operandi the two followed to draw money was by cloning ATM cards and capturing the data with 3D scanner
However, with the help of CCTV footage the two were arrested and police seized laptop, iPod, 3D scanner, reflective sheet, mobile phones and car from their possession.

Earlier too they indulged in fraudulent acts. In June 2014 the two were arrested for withdrawing money by using cloned ATM card. Later, they were remanded in custody. But they continued with same old acts once they landed out of jail.
Cases have been registered against them at Chaitanyapuri, Begumpet, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, SR Nagar previously.
