10 days after wedding, woman gives birth to baby boy

Bhopal: In a bizarre incident, a woman delivered a baby ten days after she got married. Surprisingly, it’s not a case of infidelity and the woman’s husband and his family has accepted the mother and the baby.

On being questioned about it, the woman revealed that she was raped several times by one Kashiram Silavat (22) in her village in Parvalia area, where she lived with her siblings. She stated that Silavat also threatened her with dire consequences if she discussed the rape with anyone. The woman’s marriage was fixed a year ago with a man who belongs to Motipura in Raisen district and they finally tied the knot on July 7. Ten days after the wedding, the newly-wed bride gave birth to a baby boy.

A rape case has been registered against Silavat on Monday and he is yet to be arrested. Police stated that a DNA test would be conducted to find out who is the father of the baby boy.

It’s however surprising how the woman’s in-laws and her husband didn’t notice the baby bump in spite of she staying with them for the past 10 days.
