Rogues Force Vijayawada Girl To Jump Off Moving Train
Vijayawada: A 21-year-old software engineer jumped off a moving train on Thursday at Singarayakonda railway station to escape from eve-teasers. The victim sustained minor head injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
According to the police, the techie Sheik Nazbulla, a native of Vijayawada is heading to her home town to attend her marriage proposal meet on Friday and to spend with family on Bakrid on Saturday. On Thursday morning, Nazbulla boarded Hazrat-Nizamuddin Express from Chennai to Vijayawada along with two of her friends. As they didn't have confirmed tickets, the girls got into S1 coach and were standing. They are waiting for the ticket collector to arrange a seat for them.
As the coach was fully crowded, three youths in an inebriated condition started harassing the girls. Using abusive language, they started misbehaving with the girls. One of the youths took off the dupatta of Nazbulla and started touching her inappropriately, while the other one started filming the activities on his phone. The helpless girls sought the help of the passengers in the coach, but none came forward to their rescue.
Unable bear the harassment, Nazbulla jumped off the train at Singarayakonda railway station while it was still moving. Other two girls pulled the chain to bring the train to halt. The station master at the railway station and her friends shifted Nazbulla to Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) hospital at Ongole. The doctors stated the condition of girl was stable.
As Nazbulla jumped from the slowly moving train, she sustained minor head injuries. The three youths identified as Kurban of Bihar and Harikesh Yadav and Sudhakar from Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh were arrested soon after the train arrived at Vijayawada station.
