Jagtial: Two decomposed bodies of Jagtial lovers were found on the hillocks of Laxminarasimha Temple near Nallagonda, Kodimyal mandal. The skeletal remains were found on Thursday.

Peddi Prasanth (23) and Gadudhula Gouthami (20) hailed from Hasakothur, Kammarapalli mandal of Nizamabad District. They both hanged themselves to a tree on the hillocks of the temple near here. They had commited suicide about two months ago after their parents opposed their marriage proposal.

On Thursday morning, a local shepard found the bodies hanging to the tree and immediately informed the police. The cops rushed to the spot and began investigation. The police performed autospy at the spot since the bodies were not in a condition to be shifted to the hospital.

The couple took the extreme step after the parents of the girl belonging to the Yadava community were dead against her marriage to Prasanth who belongs to Scheduled Tribe community.

Prasanth works at a drip irrigation instruments sales firm where Gouthami stays at home after finishing her intermediate.

Soma Satish, Sub-Inspector of Kodimyal said: "They went missing on April 2 and a missing case was filed on the girl at the Kammarapalli police station on April 7."

A SIM card, mobile phone, photos and bag were found at the spot.
