Obscene Videos In Vijayawada Doctors WhatsApp Group

Vijayawada: A doctor was reportedly taken into custody following obscene photographs and videos uploaded from his cell phone finding their way into a local Whatsapp doctors' chat group. According to sources, a group of doctors belonging to Andhra Pradesh Insurance Medical Services had formed Whatsapp a chat group (APIMS) with the intention of sharing daily activities and topics of professional interest to medical specialists. Doctors from across the state formed a part of the group.

On June 8, it is learnt that obscene pictures and videos were uploaded from the cell phone number of a local doctor to the shock of other members of the group . Sources said that the group also has lady doctors and in view of the embarrassment caused to all the members, a complaint was lodged by a doctor with the Ajit Singh Nagar police here. The policemen promptly swung into action, seized the obscene photos and videos and are learnt to have booked the doctor in question under Section 67 (A) of IT Act-2000. Police are probing the matter.
