“TDP’s national status a joke”
Pooh-poohing TDP for its self-proclamation of national party status without having the required base, YSR Congress has said the TDP’s strength is depleting by the day.
It said this would be borne by the massive response the June 3,4 Samara Deeksha would be getting. It said the people are ready to raise the banner of revolt against the TDP-led Government and its policies.
“Election Commission has set specific guidelines for a national party. The TDP proclaiming itself as a national party and Chandrababu Naidu its president are ridiculous. The declining popularity of the party would be reflected during the two-day Samara Deeksha of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy slated for June 3 and 4. The people are vexed with the State Government and its faulty policies,” party MLA Chavireddy Bhaskar Reddy told reporters on Saturday.
People are ready to rise in revolt against the TDP Government, which has failed to fulfill even a single election promise, and will be joining the Samara Deeksha, he said.
“The Samara Deeksha will shoot off pointed questions which Chandrababu Naidu has to eventually answer,” he said. Referring to the recent reverses suffered by the TDP, he said the trend will continue and would soon sweep off the TDP all the 13 districts. The ruling party is set to face reverses in the elections to the farmers’,” he said adding that the promise of depositing Rs 30,000 for every girl child born has come a cropper.
On the national party status, he said, “TDP has made a mockery of the Election Commission guidelines that any party to get national status should have its strong presence in at least four states.”
He made light of the remarks of N Balakrishna that many leaders from Congress and TDP are prepared to join YSRCP. He said Balakrishna has a history of psychiatric problems and has failed to substantiate his claims by giving out the names of any YSRCP MLAs who want to floor-cross.
