Zero-Interest Loan From Home Credit For Smartphone Purchase

Hyderabad: Non-banking finance company Home Credit on Thursday announced that it will offer zero-interest loans for purchsing smartphones in the city. Gurgaon-based Home Credit recently tied up with smartphone brands such as Gionee, Intex, Lava, Micromax, OPPO, Samsung and Vivo to offer zero interest loans on mobile phone purchases, said Tomas Hrdlicka, Chief Marketing Officer, Home Credit India, at a press conference here.

Tomas said Home Credit has captured 60 percent share in the sub-Rs 10,000 consumer loans category in Hyderabad in the second quarter of the current financial year. The market share was arrived at on the basis of a recent report by an international financial analyst firm, CRIF, he said.

Announcing plans to expand sales network in the city, he said “Hyderabad is an important and vibrant market for Home Credit in India. We launched our operations in the city in 2014 and in a very short span of time, already have over 250 points of sale (PoS). We are looking forward to expand the network further to 400 PoSs by end of the year,” Tomas said.

Our speedy and hassle-free loan disbursal process is attracting more and more customers, he said. “The company’s offerings primarily consist of providing in-store financing to qualified customers looking to purchase consumer durable goods such as mobile phones, home appliances, laptops, tablets, electronic goods and two-wheelers,” he said.
