Ongole MP and YSRCP senior leader YV Subba Reddy said that his contribution to the nation and his service to the downtrodden have made Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar an immortal. He said YS Rajasekhara Reddy was inspired by Babasaheb's vision and it was out of this deep-seated empathy for the marginalised and the under-privileged that late YSR had introcuded welfare schemes like Arogya Sri, Fee Reimbursement and 108 services, he added.

He strongly criticised Chandrababu Naidu for shedding crocodile tears for the Dalits and doing nothing for their welfare. He said Chandrababu has not built even a single house to the Dalits in the three years that he is in power, but managed to construct a several crores-worth swank building for himself. He said Chandrababu Naidu has no respect for constitutional values and principles. He said the present government was anti-Dalit.
