YSRCP Welcomes Supreme Court Directions On Sadavarthi Lands
Hyderabad: The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Saturday welcomed the Supreme Court's direction to the High Court which stated that the ownership of the Sadavarthi Satram lands should be clarified.
Addressing the media, YSRCP's Mangalagiri MLA RK Ramakrishna Reddy said, AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu approached the Supreme Court to takeover the Sadavarthi lands by all means possible. "He used his henchmen to bid for the lands during the auction process," the MLA said.
"The 472 acres of Sadavarthi Satram lands were given by Raja Vasireddy for the benefit of poor Brahmins. Evidences in this regard are available with the AP Endowments Department. The AP government should immediately issue a GO prohibiting the sale or auction of the lands," Ramakrishna Reddy said.
