YSRCP protests evoke good response

YSR Congress Party leaders staged dharnas, rallies and rasta rokos across the state on Wednesday, to protest against the hike in APSRTC bus charges.

Party leaders staged a massive dharna (Mahadharna) at the district collectorate office in YSR district and also held protest demonstrations in various smaller towns.

The YSRCP leaders flayed the state Government for its decision to burden the common man through the hike. Describing it as anti-people, the YSRCP said that if the government will not roll back its decision immediately, then the public will teach them a lesson in the general elections

During the protest, the YSRCP cadre raised slogans against the government. In Nagari of Chittoor district, the party leaders staged a rasta roko and burnt the effigies of the chief minister and others. Similar protests were taken out in Rayachoti and Rajampeta towns as well.

In Khammam district, YSRCP workers staged a protest at the bus-stop. The leaders braved the hot sun and took out rallies at many places.
