YSRCP objects to TDP ministers’ remarks - Sakshi Post

Taking strong objection to the remarks of TDP ministers on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s open letter to the Chief Minister, YSR Congress has said that a detailed account on the reasons for being away from the foundation stone laying ceremony were given by the Leader of Opposition which are being distorted.

‘Our party president has categorically mentioned that since the State has acquired land through unethical methods and much more extent than what was actually necessary. Foundation stone laying for a state capital is indeed an important event in the history of the State, and I cannot be part of it when the capital is being built on the plight of the farmers was what he has said in the letter but TDP ministers have been distorting it and passing uncharitable remarks which are objectionable,’ party spokesperson K Parthasarathi told reporters on Friday.

When the Prime Minister himself has withdrawn the Ordinance Bill after facing huge public outcry, Chief Minister has threatened to invoke the Ordinance to acquire land. The extent of land acquired is many times higher than the experts’ committee report.

‘Giving land to Singapore companies and putting the commercial agenda ahead of the development agenda shows the nature of governance of Chandrababu Naidu who has given a false affidavit to the Green Tribunal stating that the land acquired was barren while in reality it was fertile land..

Instead of criticizing the leader of opposition for the open letter, the state should go into the reasons highlighted in the letter and try to address them,’ he said.
