YSRCP MP Vijayasai Reddy Protests Atop Parliament Building
New Delhi: YSR Congress Party senior leader and MP V Vijayasai Reddy today climbed atop the Parliament building in protest against the centre's denial of Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh. He stood on top of the building holding a placard demanding SCS.
Vijayasai Reddy said that until SCS is achieved, the YSRCP fight will continue. The state is at a loss because of Chandrababu's acceptance of Special Package instead of SCS, he observed. He called upon the TDP MPs to support YSRCP's no-confidence motion in Parliament tomorrow.
The YSRCP MP criticised Chandrababu saying that he had lost his political character and credibility. Despite having 40 years of political experience and having made 29 trips to New Delhi, the Prime Minister never bothered give an appointment, he remarked and said that this was a reflection of the respect he commanded within the NDA.
He alleged that Chandrababu sought PM's appointment with regard to bailing him out of the Note-for-Vote case, and that was the reason he never got an appointment. He lambasted the TDP for not representing the state's problems at the Centre.
