YSRCP MLAs to tour Thulluru on Feb 23 - Sakshi Post

The Legislature Party of YSR Congress would tour Thulluru area on February 23 ahead of the Assembly session to know firsthand the plight of famers vis-à-vis land pooling by CRDA.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday party spokesperson K Parthasarathi told reporters that: “The Party MLAs will tour the Thulluru area and interact with farmers to record their objections and feelings which will be replayed in the State assembly.”

The State has been using force in land acquisition and the farmers are in utter distress as their multi-crop land is being taken away with coercion and other such methods.

“Police force is being used to harass the farmers who are not willing give up their land. Boyapati Sudha Rani, a TDP voter, who raised her voice against the land pooling was subdued using such methods,” he said.

We will tour the entire Thulluru area and gather opinions and problems of the farmers and their views will be reflected in the assembly session, he said.

“We are not against the capital coming up at Thulluru and strongly condemn the allegations of TDP leaders that we wanted the capital to be elsewhere. We are only opposed to the land acquisition by force and using it for commercial purposes neglecting the farmers and taking away their livelihood.

“The experience of Chandrababu Naidu is being used for benefitting real estate entrepreneurs and not farmers. We are against such policies of commercializing the farmers’ land benefitting a third party,” he said.
