YSRCP leaders to stage Dharna in Hyderabad


In view of the reports that the Congress leadership is taking forward the Telangana process, the Seemandhra YSR Congress Party leaders have decided to step up pressure on the Congress high command to reverse the CWC decision on state bifurcation.

Addressing a press conference in Hyderabad, party MLA Bhuma Shobha Nagireddy said that YSRCP leaders from the Seemandhra region would stage a dharna before the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Assembly premises on September 20 with the demand that Seemandhra Congress and TDP leaders resign from their posts in support of Samaikyandhra state.

She also said that the dharna would be preceded by padayatra of the party leaders from Telugu Talli statue to the Gandhi Statue.

The YSRCP MLA demanded TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu to withdraw his letter consenting creation of Telangana. Shobha Nagireddy also demanded resignation of Naidu and other TDP leaders. . “Are you for Telangana state or Samaikyandhra? Make your stand clear,” she questioned the Seemandhra Congress leaders.
