YSRCP flays TDP for doublespeak
Pooh-poohing the New Year celebrations of TDP, YSR Congress has said it is only a publicity stunt by Chandrababu Naidu while the core issues concerning the people are left untouched.
“Chief Minister has been telling blatant lies on the New Year with huge ads trumpeting false claims. After being sworn-in, he signed five files and not a single issue was taken up till now and his New Year celebrations are ridiculous,” Party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters in Hyderabad on Thursday.
The ads are a bundle of lies and false claims and we demand that the Chief Minister categorically tell as to when the loan waiver of farmers and women groups, pensions and jobs will be carried out in full.
“TDP which boasted that it was the first Party to vote in favour of the division is now saying that the Sate is in dire financial straits due to the division. This fiscal deficit Naidu is speaking about did not spring from nowhere and it is the result of the division of the State to which TDP has wholeheartedly supported.
The irony is that the person who had cast the first vote for division was made member of the Sugar Factories Reconstruction Committee which shows the commercial interests of Chandrababu Naidu setting aside ideological or people’s interests.” she said.
Chandrababu Naidu boasting that the State did not see development as he was not in power should give the comparative figures of agriculture production, GDP rate and other growth indices during his nine year term compared to the subsequent 10 years and what his government has done after assuming power in 2014.
Even 10 % of the interest on loans are not waived, DWACRA loans are left in the lurch, there is massive downsizing in the number of pensioners and ration cards yet TDP government is boasting of a rolling out welfare measures even in difficult situation, which was created by Congress with the help of TDP itself in the form of division.
Chandrababu Naidu telling that he came to know about the people’s problems only during his padayatra, as a run-up to 2014 elections, indicates that he was not aware of the people’s plight while he was Chief Minister and the Opposition Leader.
“We demand the TDP government should specifically tell as to when the five promises he assured during swearing-in ceremony will be fulfilled,” she said.
