YSRCP finds fault with TDP for encouraging liquor consumption
Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party has slammed the TDP government for concentrating more on schemes that have commercial element and ignoring other welfare schemes. YSRCP’s spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said that Chandrababu Naidu doesn’t have social responsibility.
While purposefully ignoring NTR Sujala Sravanthi scheme, Chandrababu Naidu is keen on allotting distillery licenses that give him more money in the form of kickbacks. Under the NTR Sujala Sravanthi scheme 20 liters of drinking water on charging Rs 2 should be continued across the State, he said.

Chandrababu Naidu had promised to do away with belt shops before elections, But, he did not keep his word. On the other hand, he has been giving permissions for manufacturing more liquor and there is no check on cheap liquor. No more AP means Andhra Pradesh, but now it’s Avineeti Pradesh under TDP ruling,
“Chandrababu Naidu had promised to do away with belt shops before elections, But, he did not keep his word. On the other hand, he has been giving permissions for manufacturing more liquor and there is no check on cheap liquor. No more AP means Andhra Pradesh, but now it’s Avineeti Pradesh under TDP ruling,” Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Friday.
Blaming Chandrababu Naidu for keeping schemes like drinking water and others on the back burner, Ambati further criticized that the government has been patronizing schemes which can give kickbacks.
Earlier governments had issued a GO to keep liquor shops away from highways, but Chandrababu Naidu has withdrawn it. Ambati lambasted Chandrababu Naidu for flooding the state with liquor regardless of time restrictions.
