Expressing his determination to fight on behalf of the farmers in the capital region of Andhra Pradesh state, YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met Governor ESL Narasimhan on Monday.

Earlier in the day, YS Jagan assured to fight for the rights of the farmers who are refusing to part with their lands for the formation of the AP Capital.

He brought to the notice of the Governor about the police harassment on the farmers and their plight in the capital area.
The YSRCP chief was accompanied by the YSRCP MLAs from Guntur and Prakasm and also farmers from the capital area.
Speaking to the media after meeting the Governor, YSRCP senior leader Dharmana Prasada Rao said that YS Jagan demanded that the state government order a probe by a sitting high court judge into the arson.
He termed the TDP leader's allegations that it was YSRCP's ploy to scuttle the construction of capital city, as ridiculous and silly.
YS Jagan requested the Governor to stand by the farmers and save them.
