YSRCP Demands Ex-gratia Of Rs 25 lakh To Kin Of Students Who Committed Suicide In Narayana Colleges
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has no concern for the lives of students and has miserably failed to take action against Narayana Educational institutions for the spate of suicides, YSRCP MLA RK Roja said.
Speaking to media persons on Tuesday, Roja said that Chandrababu was silent on Minister Narayana because the latter had funded poaching of YSRCP MLAs. It may be recalled that a series of incidents of students committing suicide in Narayana colleges shook the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Terming the student suicides as unfortunate, Roja said that 158 hostels are being run illegally in the state. "What action the AP government has taken on these hostels?" she questioned.
The YSRCP MLA demanded that the state government should announce an ex-gratia of Rs 25 lakh to the students' kin who committed suicide. Stern action should be taken against the Narayana college officials who are responsible for the suicides.
