YSRCP asks Speaker to disqualify SPY Reddy - Sakshi Post

YSRCP has complained to Speaker of Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan on Thursday to disqualify Nandyal MP S.P.Y.Reddy.

YSRCP Parliamentary party leader Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and other party MPs met the speaker and requested her to disqualify the MP as he left their party and joined Telugu Desam Party.

Speaking after they met speaker, Mekapati said, “S.P.Y.Reddy himself declared that he joined TDP. He even said that he would contest on behalf of TDP, if he was disqualified.”

Mekapati said that they had asked the speaker to take an early decision on the matter.

The MP also said that they had submitted all the necessary documents to the speaker.

“Speaker told us that she would go by the rules on the matter,” said Mekapati.

S.P.Y.Reddy won as YSRCP MP from Nandyal and later joined TDP.
