YSRCP Asks AP Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad To Disqualify Turncoat MLA Rajeswari
YSRCP MLAs on Thursday demanded that AP Assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasad take action against party's Rampachodavaram MLA Vantala Rajeswari for floor crossing. They also asked him to act on the complaint given earlier about the 21 MLAs, who defected from the YSRCP to the Telugu Desam Party. YSRCP MLAs met Speaker Kodela at his chambers in Amaravati and dismiss the turncoat MLAs.
Vantala Rajeswarai had defected to the Telugu Desam on November 4. Her joining of the party took place right in the Chief Minister's chamber and in his presence. Rajeswari had earlier alleged that the TDP had offered Rs 20 crore to her to defect from the YSRCP and had stated that she would remain with the YSRCP all through. But, ahead of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, she jumped into the ruling party.
It may be recalled that the ruling TDP had engineered defections from the YSRCP and four such defectors are now ministers in the TDP Government despite continuing as YSRCP MLAs.
