YSR wanted the state to remain united: Sharmila
Congress was planning to divide the state only to make Rahul Gandhi prime minister, said YSR Congress Party leader Sharmila while addressing a huge public meeting Kaikaluru in Krishna district on Thursday as part of the 'Samaikhya Sankharavam' bus yatra..
Lashing out at TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for his silence, Sharmila held the Naidu responsible for the division of AP. Chandrababau has to apologise and withdraw the letter he had given to Congress before going to the people or else people will question and drive him away, she said.
Sharmila reiterated that five parties namely Congress, BJP, TRS, TDP and CPI have supported the separation of the state, while three parties YSR Congress, CPM and MIM have been vehemently opposing the move to divide the state.
Recalling the term of YSR, she said he had launched welfare schemes like Aarogyasri, fees reimbursement, pavala vaddi and the like which have benefitted many sections of the society. She also said that YSR wanted the state to remain united. "Prime Minister itself said this situation would not have arisen if YSR were alive."
Her brother YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would soon be out of prison and bring back YSR's golden era, she assured.
