YS Sharmila reaches out to Palamoor's nook and cranny
Following the footsteps of her brother and to fulfill his vow of consoling each and every bereaved family, YSR Congress Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister Sharmila began her Paramarsa yatra in Mahabubnagar district on Monday.
Having her mother and YSRCP honorary president YS Vijayamma's blessings, tonnes of support from her brother YS Jagan and best wishes from her sister-in-law YS Bharathi, Sharmila kick-stared her yatra.
Sharmila along with YS Vijayamma and YS Jagan paid floral tribute to YSR and sought his blessings before starting off her yatra.
She left from her Lotus Pond residence amid cheering slogans of 'Jai YSR', 'Jai Jagan', 'Jai Sharmila' .
When Sharmila reached Ibhrahimpatnam, she was accorded a grand welcome. Scores of YSR followers gathered there to receive Sharmila.
She unveiled the statue of YSR which was set up by his followers.
She called on the family members of Rayapu Reddy and consoled them at Irvin village in Kalvakurthi constituency.
Rayapu Reddy died of heart attack on hearing about YSR's death. Mingling with the family members with her usual style, she enquired about their problems. She gave a patient listening to the plethora of problems aired by the family members. Sharmila, who made the impossible possible, by her marathon walk of 3112 km, started her yatra this time with more zeal. She also enquired about the source of their income and assured them that her family would stand by them at all times.
Later, she left for Padakal village in Talakondavalli mandal to meet the bereaved family of Tummala Narasimha. She would also call on S Anjamma at Veljala in the same mandal.
Sharmila will halt at Kalvakurthy and resume her yatra on Tuesday to cover Achampeta and Kollapur constituencies. In the first phase, she would tour Mahabubnagar district in five days covering 921 km through 13 assembly constituencies.
