YS Jagan To Visit CRDA Villages On January 19

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy  - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy will visit Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) villages on January 19 to express his solidarity with the farmers who are not willing to give their lands for capital city development.

Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakirshna Reddy confirmed YS Jagan's tour and alleged that state Government is trying to encroach upon lands belonging to the farmers. He said that farmers have been strongly opposing this move. The Government had said that 33,000 acres of land was already given by farmers for capital city under land pooling scheme.

However, some farmers did not agree to give their lands to Government and they want to continue to till the land. Ramakrishna Reddy added that the Government is now trying to take those lands by invoking the Land Acquisition Act, which is being strongly opposed. He said that YS Jagan will visit those villages which are opposing land acquisition and he will stand by the farmers. Ramakrishna Reddy said that Jagan will talk to farmers. He said the Government had failed to fulfil the assurances it gave at the time of the land-pooling.
