YS Jagan to begin hunger strike on Sunday
YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to go on a hunger strike from Sunday at the Chanchalaguda jail itself.
YSRCP leaders say that Jagan has decided to undertake the indefinite fast with the sole aim of wishing good to the people of the state and opposing the unilateral decision of the Congress high command to divide the state.
Being a true son, Jagan forced his mother to call of strike after concerns over her health arose. Being a party president, Jagan took up the responsibility of carrying forward the hunger strike for the sake of people.
The party leaders confirmed that he would go on a fast from tomorrow. But he would set some demands to the Centre on the bifurcation of the state.
There have been elaborate discussions in the state as speculation on his fast surfaced since morning.
It may be recalled here that Vijayamma had undertaken fast on behalf of Jagan.
With Vijayamma's deeksha, the Samaikyandhra movement gained strength in the Seemandhra region and now with Jagan's fast it would only double.
