YS Jagan slams TDP for reducing time for debate
Hyderabad: Leader of the Opposition in the AP Legislative Assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy strongly objected to limiting the discussion on the motion of thanks on Governor's joint address to just one day.
Speaking in the Assembly on Tuesday, he said it was initially agreed that the discussion would last for two days. "But, the debate has now been reduced to just one day. He said the TDP government is behaving in an autocratic manner," he said and demanded that at least one person from the Opposition be given time to fully explain the party's viewpoint.
YS Jagan also found fault with the house being adjourned for the day at 2 PM. He reminded that during YSR's team, the assembly session used to go on till 8 PM and the session used to be held for 75 days and not just 25 days as is being done now.
Significantly, soon after TDP MLA D Narendra spoke, the house was adjourned for Wednesday.
