YS Jagan seeks railway zone for AP - Sakshi Post

YSR Congress President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has met the Railway Minister Suresh P. Prabhu and submitted a representation for creating a separate Railway zone in the State besides expediting the pending projects.

Speaking to media after submitting the memorandum in New Delhi on Monday he said “We have asked for creating a railway zone in the State. We have also asked the Union Minister to release funds for the pending projects for the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.”
The Minister responded very positively and the response was very good, he said adding that he was reminded about the promises made by the Centre while the State was being divided.
The Leader of Opposition who is on his second day of the Delhi tour, said that “we are here ahead of the budget session with the wish list for the twin states.

On Sunday, the YSRCP chief met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and told him his Party will oppose any anti-people policy of the State Government and will play the role of a construction opposition. “ We have given memorandum on various issues, including the way in which land is being acquired by the CRDA and the situation arising out of water-sharing dispute. We have also taken up issues such as Polavaram, new railway lines, industrial development, special status, financial packages and the like, YS Jagan said.
He aslo met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely and sought special tag for AP.

Party MPs YV Subba Reddy, M Rajamohan Reddy, Mithun Reddy, Avinash Reddy, Butta Renuka (from AP) and P Srinivas Reddy (Telangana) accompanied YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
