YS Jagan Never Interfered In Governance During YSR Rule: Ex-DGP Aravinda Rao

Former Director General of Police K Aravinda Rao, who served during late YS Rajasekhara Reddy's time, said that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had not even once made any telephone call. He also categorically said that YS Jagan did not interfere in the functioning of the Government in any manner.

In an exclusive interview to senior journalist Kommineni Srinivasa Rao for his talk show ''Manasulo Mata'' on Sakshi TV, Aravinda Rao said that he has never seen YS Jagan in any government meeting or even at the secretariat at any point of time during YSR rule. "YS Jagan was involved in his business and used to spend most of the time in Bengaluru. He has never been in Hyderabad during that period," he said.

On his relations with YSR, the former DGP said YSR had never asked him to do anything that is contrary to the rules. "He has never asked me to do anything unconstitutional," Aravinda Rao said.

On non-inclusion of Chandrababu's name in the charge-sheet of Cash for Votes case, he said if someone's name is included in a case, but is omitted in the charge-sheet, a private person can always file a case.
