YS Jagan Mohan Reddy hits out at authorities over lapses in aircraft operations

Visakhapatnam: YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed his grief over the missing Indian Airforce AN-32 aircraft. He appealed the Centre to take measures so that such painful incidents shouldn’t be repeated.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been consoling the families of those in the missing AN-32 aircraft. He met family of Varaprasad in Madhavadhara Kalinganagar on Monday. Earlier, YS Jagan met family members of Bhupender Singh in Marripalem. He has consoled Bhupender Singh’s wife and two sons and asked them not to lose heart over the incident.

While interacting with the family members, YS Jagan has recalled those painful days when helicopter, in which people’s leader YS Rajasekhara Reddy was travelling, lost communication. YS Jagan said that he could understand the tension and mental worry of the family.

YS Jagan has further said that YSRCP would pressurize the Centre to intensify the searching operation to locate the aircraft as early as possible.

Bhupender Singh hails from Uttar Pradesh and he is an ex-serviceman also. Naval Armament Depot’s (NAD) eight employees started on July 20 and reached Chennai at 8am on July 21. They were on the job to fix the problem in weapon on CRN-91 Indian Naval Ship (INS) Matti Malv. IAF aircraft AN-32 Chennai to Portblair enroute aircraft on July 22 took off at 8:30am and lost communication at 8:46am. About 29 people were on board including eight belong to NAD in Visakhapatnam. The search operation is on.
