The YSRCP on Saturday launched its ambitious public outreach programme to mark the eighth death anniversary of great leader YS Rajasekhara Reddy. The massive socio-political outreach initiative is titled YSR Kutumbam or YSR Family. The programme was inaugurated at teh YSR Pranganam Pulivendula, the home turf of YSR family, by party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He said everyone was happy during the YSR rule. He said there were no houseless in the villages and everyone had got ration cards. The local leaders used to go to their people with pride and self-confidence as they had achievements to their credit. In contrast, Chandrababu's track record is one of betrayal and back-stabbing. He said the people deserve credible and trustworthy leaders. He said there is a dire need to create awareness among the people about Chandrababu Naidu's misrule and remind them about the YSR regime, when everyone was happy and satisfied.

He said when YSRCP comes to power in 2019, village-level secretariats would be established to address the needs of the villagers. All their issues would be taken up at the village secretariat. Every village secretariat will employ ten educated youths, he said.

As part of this programme, those intending to become members of YSR Kutumbam, can give a missed call to 9121091210. According to the organisers, the party committees would be formed at the booth level and these committees would be activated with a slew of well-orchestrated programmes. The membership of the party too would be taken up in a big way. This will be followed by a massive training programme. After this the party workers, sympathisers and activists will take YS Jagan's Navaratnalu (the nine welfare schemes) to the common man and create awareness about these promises.

The massive outreach campaign would be organised from September 11 to October 2. Within 20 days, every house in each village of the state would be contacted at the rate of 20 houses per day. During this campaign, the people will be explained about YSR regime and Chandrababu misrule. Group conveners of every booth committee would be imparted training for the mass contact programme from September 2 till September 11. YS Jagan further said that a massive, six-month-long padayatra would be taken out after October 2.
