YS Jagan in Undavali, to tour Capital region

Vijayawada: All is set for the much-anticipated tour of the Capital area region in Guntur district.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will tour Undavalli and other villages in the region to know the plight of the farmers.  He would meet the farmers who are not willing to part with their lands and will give voice to their strong feelings in the AP legislative assembly.

“The Leader of Opposition will tour seven villages in Mangalagiri assembly constituency and six in Tadikonda, mandal including Thulluru, where farmers are being pressurized to part with their fertile lands,” YSRCP general secretary Talasila Raghuram told media on Tuesday morning.
The decision of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s tour was taken after the Farmers’ Rights Protection Committee of the Party had toured the area and the locals have expressed their desire to meet the Leader of Opposition. The State has been using force to take away the fertile lands from the farmers and is even using the police to frighten the people. The proposed capital area has turned into a battle zone with Ministers, TDP MLAs camping in the region and creating an atmosphere of fear and terror.

The party meanwhile said that YS Jagan is never against the capital region, but is against the way the lands are being pooled in without consent of the farmers. This tour is aimed at instilling confidence in farmers of the region.
