YS Jagan Mohan Reddy tweeted that despite narrowly missing Bronze, power lifter Farman Basha did a commendable job.

Hyderabad: YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has congratulated winners at Rio Paralympics. He tweeted that despite narrowly missing Bronze, power lifter Farman Basha did a commendable job.

YS Jagan said: “Congratulations to Deepa Malik, Mariappan Tangavelu, Varun Singh Bhati. Good attempt by Farman.”


India won three medals at Rio Paralympics so far. Mariappan Tangavelu won Gold medal and Varun Singh Bhati bronze in men’s high jump. Deepa Malik won silver medal in women’s shotput (F-53) event. Farman stood at fourth slot in weight lifting (49kg category) narrowly missing bronze medal.

YS Jagan hasgreeted Muslims on the occasion of Eid al- Adha.
