YS Jagan Flags Off Party Leaders For Special Category Status Protest In Delhi
Prakasam District: Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy formally flagged off a team of YSRCP MPs, on Saturday, bound for Delhi to participate in the party's protest for Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh.
At the event, the YSRCP chief called on the party leaders to intensify the protest and not to rest until SCS is granted to the state. He reminded them that the proposal to move the no confidence motion against the Modi government and the planned resignation of YSRCP MPs was aimed to intensify the demand for SCS. YSRCP MPs, MLA, MLCs and other senior leaders participated in the flag off ceremony, held on the sidelines of the ongoing Praja Sankalpa Yatra. It may be recalled that the YSRCP leaders and party cadre will stage a protest for SCS at Sansad Marg in New Delhi on March 5.
Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy To Be YSRCP Nominee For Rajya Sabha
YSRCP leader Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy will be the party's nominee for the Rajya Sabha, YS Jagan announced on Saturday. He will file the nomination papers for Rajya Sabha on March 7, the YSRCP chief said.
