YS Jagan dares Chandrababu to prove charges

YS Jagan on Tuesday dared Chandrababu that he would resign from his post if he could prove that he had met TRS leader Harish Rao in a hotel and recommended Stephenson’s name for nominated MLC post.

A visibly angry YS Jagan asked Chandrababu Naidu if he would do the same if cannot prove his argument. This war of words came up during the discussion on special state status for Andhra Pradesh. While Jagan was making a spirited speech on the issue, the TDP MLAs tried to obstruct him by leveling accusations about collusion.

Amid the din, Jagan quipped he needed protection as he was afraid of Chandrababu’s unusual ways. He said let us pass a resolution in favour of special state status to Andhra Pradesh. He wanted a time-bound programme of action and wanted the TDP to withdraw its ministers from the Union Cabinet if the Centre did not accord special status to Andhra Pradesh within a month.

YS Jagan also appealed to the youth of the state not to end their lives unnecessarily. He called for a united fight for the special status.
