YS Jagan Calls TDP Rule a Big Fraud
Dharmavaram: YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday described the Telugu Desam Party rule in Andhra Pradesh as a big fraud.Addressing a huge gathering in Dharmavaram as part of his Rythu Bharosa Yatra that began on Wednesday, YS Jagan questioned the genuinity of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's promises made before the elections. "Loans are not waived, houses not built for weavers, no jobs provided for the unemployed and he is not paying Rs2,500 unemployment allowance as promised before the elections. Is it not a blatant fraud?" YS Jagan remarked and pointed out that 16 weavers had committed suicide in Dharmavaram area which used to be a hub of talented weavers in the past.
Chandrababu promised to provide Rs1.5 lakh interest-free loans to weavers and houses to their families, but not a single promise was kept after coming into power in almost two years, YS Jagan said. In an open interaction with the people, YS Jagan assured them all the support they need to revive their traditional weaving occupation. He lashed out at the government for pressurising poor farmers and weavers on repayment of loans.
YS Jagan toured in Kothapeta, Shantinagar and Shivanagar in Dharmavaram constituency and visited the families of those committed suicide due to poverty.
