YS Jagan Calls For Fight Until Special Status Achieved For AP At Yuva Bheri

Anantapur: Opposition Leader and president of YSR Congress Party YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday called for an unrelenting fight for a special status to Andhra Pradesh.

Setting the agenda for the Yuva Bheri being held here, YS Jagan said the fight for special status will not end until it is achieved. He said the future of lakhs of youths is depends on special status as it can attract more investments and create more jobs in the state. He lambasted the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for compromising on the special status issue with the Centre for his own political interests.

Later, the party chief interacted with students where they asked him questions about the dwindling job opportunities in the TDP-ruled state. He assured them that the YSRCP will address students’ issues on a priority basis after defeating the TDP in 2019 elections. The YSRCP chief also said the welfare programmes such as 104 and 108 introduced by late chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy will be revived. The students assured YS Jagan that they will support YSRCP in its fight for a special status for AP.

Thousands of youths, students and intellectuals attended the meeting at MYR function hall on Bellary road on the outskirts of Anantapur town.
