YS Jagan begins Dharna demanding special status for AP
New Delhi: YSRCP Chief and Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is staging a Dharna stage in New Delhi near Jantar Manthar demanding ``special status’’ for Andhra Pradesh.
YS Jagan began the protest with the slogan “Special status AP’s right” on Monday morning.
Thousands of YSRCP leaders and supporters from Andhra Pradesh assembled at the venue to give voice to YSRCP's demand.
After the Dharna, YS Jagan and his supporters will march towards Parliament.
The Dharna started with a moment of silence in reverence to Muni Kama Koti, Congress leader from Chittoor district who immolated himself on Saturdaydemanding special status for AP.
Koti succumbed to burn injuries on Sunday at Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital, Chennai.
