Youth Wears Wig To Raise Height In Police Recruitment, Disqualified

Maharashtra: Rahul Patil, a 22-year-old, was disqualified from police recruitment on Saturday after he was found wearing a wig to raise height. Rahul hails from Trimbakeshwar and his foul act was suspected by a constable. After being questioned, Rahul admitted of wearing a wig to raise his height.

"Following his admission, Rahul was disqualified from police recruitment and necessary action will be taken," said Shrikant Dhivare, Nashik Deputy Commissioner of Police.

The recruitment for police constables is going on across the state from March 22, excluding Mumbai and Aurangabad city, for 5,756 posts.

Around 8.73 lakh candidates have applied for these posts.
