Youth Dupes Teenager for Fourth Marriage

Hyderabad: A youth duped a teenage girl by stating that he was a businessman and married her after taking huge sum as dowry.

The youth identified as Yaseer Ahmed (21), also took several sovereigns of gold as part of the dowry from the girl who was a resident of Paramount Colony in Shaikpet. However, after marriage she realised that Yaseer had already married thrice. She promptly lodged a complaint with the police.

Initially, Yaseer stayed with his in-laws but later took a rented house but ensured that the girl did not leave the house. However, sensing his strange behaviour she managed to escape and informed her parents who in turn came to the house to question Yaseer. However, he had already fled from the house.

Police have launched a manhunt for the accused.
