Love-Lorn Youth Commits Suicide In Musheerabad 

Hyderabad: A love-lorn youth committed suicide at his house at Ramnagar on Friday. 25 year-old Balaji Pratap hanged himself to death at his house, after returning from night duty in the early hours today.

Police said the youth was working with a company that manufactures electrical devices. He worked in the night shift as usual on Thursday-Friday and came home at around 3am. He slept in the bedroom along with his mother. After she woke up in the morning and was busy with household chores, Balaji closed the door and locked it from inside.

After a while, when his mother wanted to go to the bathroom which was attached to the bedroom, there was no response from inside. She alerted her husband and with the help of others they broke open the door only to find the youth hanging to a ceiling fan. He was already dead, the police said.

No clue was found as to what could be the reason for his extreme step. The police are trying to unlock his mobile phone which was pattern-locked. No suicide not was found at the spot. The parents of the deceased said he was in love with a girl for some time. He appeared to be in a state of deep distress as he had some problems with the girl for some time, police quoted the parents as saying. An investigation is on.
