Youth booked under Nirbhaya Act for harassing girl

The Banjara Hills police booked a youth under the Nirbhaya Act for harassing a girl to love him and for passing lewd comments.

According to the police, the youth Siva (23) residing in Road No. 9 of Film Nagar started pestering a girl (name withheld) of the same colony. He was also said to keep track of her movements to and from a coaching center where she was studying. Things reached a head, when Siva came into her house and started shouting after being fully drunk.
The girl lodged a police complaint on Saturday following which police registered a case under the Nirbhaya Act. A hunt has been lodged to nab the youth.
