Yemmiganur municipal official in CBI custody

Former Commissioner of Yemmiganuru municipality Jyothy was arrested by CBI sleuths on Sunday on the charges of embezzlement of funds to the tune of Rs 7.3 crore.

Earlier, the CBI officials arrested Amaraiah, the deputy commissioner of Uppal municipality in the same case.  He worked at Yemmiganur municipality during 2004 and 2007 and the Lokayuktha had inducted Amaraiah, Jyothy and three other officials in connection with misappropriation of funds in Yemmiganur municipality.
